Man City Legend Pablo Zabaleta and the Premier League Trophy go to Cityzens Giving Young Leaders in Mexico City to have fun launch of expanded Xylem Water Heroes Academy

Mexico City, Mexico, September 22, 2022 – Manchester City’s international charity initiative, Cityzens Giving, and Official Water Technology Partner, Xylem, are delighted to announce the enlargement of Xylem Water Heroes Academy, a global initiative in ten cities utilizing the facility of football to deal with local water challenges.
Since its launch in 2021, Xylem Water Heroes Academy has engaged over seventy five younger leaders and delivered very important water schooling to greater than 6,000 younger people in 5 cities: São Paulo, Mumbai, Cape Town, New York City and Shanghai. More than 20 million residents wouldn’t have enough water to drink for nearly half the yearand one in five individuals have entry to only a few hours of running water from their faucets per week.<br/>This project will see Young Leaders from love.fútbol use specifically adapted soccer video games to coach young folks in the community on responsible water consumption, in addition to the importance of secure water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH).<br/>Zabaleta took part in a youth-led football and water festival and engaged in a Q&A session with young members, before learning a standard Mexican dance.<br/>Reflecting on his visit, Zabaleta said: “Meeting the Young Leaders in Mexico City was an amazing experience. The means they are using football to show kids in regards to the significance of water is creative and provoking, and it’s nice to see this distinctive initiative from Cityzens Giving and Xylem expanding to more cities. The Young Leaders are so engaged with supporting their group and to have the flexibility to contribute in a small way was a privilege.”<br/><br/>As part of the exercise within the country, Young Leaders, Xylem workers and followers from Manchester City’s Official Supporters Club in Mexico City also joined forces to repaint the El Coyolito pitch and create a water-themed mural.<br/>In addition, City within the Community coaches delivered training to forty Young Leaders in Mexico City, sharing experience and information in leadership, community football and WASH. This was adopted by a three-day digital Summit, connecting Young Leaders and Xylem consultants from all ten cities to share concepts on tackling water challenges through soccer.<br/>“ <a href=เกจวัดแรงดัน continues to threaten water availability in communities across the globe,” stated Austin Alexander, Vice President, Sustainability and Social Impact at Xylem. “Xylem Water Heroes Academy harnesses the power of football and younger leaders to address these water challenges and make our communities extra resilient.”

Valeria, a Young Leader with love.fútbol stated: “We want all the youngsters right here to be aware that accountable water consumption is essential, and so they should deal with it.
