Kenyan firm plans big cold chain facility in East Africa

A main Kenyan warehouse and logistics service provider Cold Solutions, says it will make investments USD 70 million to construct the largest chilly chain facility in East Africa to address challenges that face transportation of perishable items.
Cold Solution’s 15,000 sqm flagship facility in Tatu City Special Economic Zone in Nairobi will be the largest, most superior and efficient in the region. The chilly chain facility is flexibly designed to cater for numerous temperature ranges from +26 to -40 C and a number of product ranges, from fresh fruit and greens, to prescribed drugs and vaccines, meats and poultry, and frozen meals.
